5 * Stunna (also known as 5 Star Stunna) is the third studio album by American rapper Birdman, released on December 11, 2007.[5] The first official single was "Pop Bottles", featuring Lil Wayne. The second official single was "100 Million", featuring DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, and Dre. The third official single was "I Run This", featuring Lil Wayne.

Background

Among other producers include Kane Beatz, T-Mix, Cool & Dre, Young Yonny, DJ Tone, The Fliptones, Tommy Gunnz, Steve Morales, and Raymond "Sarom" Diaz. Lil Wayne is featured on seven tracks. All three singles that featured Lil Wayne. The album was originally titled 5 Star General but was later changed. The album debuted at number eighteen on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling about 80,000 copies in its first-week. As of January 15, the album has sold over 372,000 copies in the United States.

Lawsuits

On October 2009, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Cash Money Records, and various music distribution outlets were sued for copyright infringement by Thomas Marasciullo, who claims his voice was used without permission. The rappers asked him to record some "Italian-styled spoken word recordings" in 2006. The lyrics were allegedly used on "Respect", and other tracks from the rappers' collaboration album Like Father, Like Son.[6]
